Happy New Month Guys

We are halfway through the Year already and its true when they say Time flies. Its Jowie here and here are a few photos of me in my Birds of Chona Iro and Buba (Skirt and Blouse) that I wore in Paris last month when Bubu and I went for a City Break which was also to visit my namesake Aunty Jo who lives there. I must admit I feel in Love with Paris all over again as I had been there already on another City break with the Mr.
The material of this outfit was so perfect as it was hot and twas so light and airy. Its traditionally an outfit the older ladies in Nigeria wear but these days there are so many modern ways in which the younger ladies are rocking it. I tied it Tulip style but as the skirt is a wrapper it can be worn however you feel you want to wear it.The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a lot of fun especially at the Foire De Paris which happens once a year. Its a huge Fair and the way the Tram on the way to Porte de Versailles was packed it seemed as if the whole of Paris was going there. The venue was huge and so many stalls and tents to visit and a great place to grab a bargain especially on Beauty Products.
Paris is such a beautiful city mixed with so much culture and heritage and their old buildings have you feeling like you are walking through the pages of a real life history book. On this trip we didn't do as much sightseeing as we would have liked but theres so much to explore its a good excuse to come back again.

Hi Guys

Its been awhile but we are here again this time with a Post from Paddy who is adjusting to living in Beijing in a new and exciting chapter in her life. Here are a few photos of her in a Lovely Vintage Dress and its so representitive of the lovely Spring Weather we have been experiencing recently (In London that is). A simple shift dress with a nice shade of pink with a pattern on it so its not over powering. We were loving how the necklace matched the tone of the shoes perfectly. Heres to hoping Spring weather continues to stay lovely and warm as the summer approaches. A big congrats too to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the latest Royal Baby Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and 4th in line to the Throne. The Royal baby fever caught all the BOC ladies though we all love it when it seems that  'They Lived happily ever after'. Classic fairytale ending or rather beginning.

Standing On The Sun 2015

Hey Birds... Monica here and IT IS SPRING!

IT is 2015 and so far so FABULOUS :D this year is looking amazing for Birds Of Chona and I hope this is the same for you all. Expect exciting things, from GLORIOUS outfits to FUN FILLED POSTS. Glad to have your views and WE WANT TO HEAR from you.

Just a reminder of our social media accounts:

Thank goodness for some sun. The title of this post is inspired by Beyoncé- Standing On The Sun, that is my sunshine song :D. This dress is an original design from the Birds Of Chona Collection. I was inspired by the AMAZING Solange Knowles (it is all about the Knowles Family). I wanted something classic but sexy, the cut is a perfect mid, just above the knee (my Grandmother would be proud "very dignified" as she would say LOL). I wanted to upgrade my look and design something for the up and coming grown women, such as myself. I have been meaning to post some pictures and now that we have a little bit of sunshine, this is the perfect time.

I paired the dress with a black long coat from Mango (which I live in, literally wear this coat everyday, I love it). The coat is there because the weather in London is unpredictable, plus it is chilly :D. However HAPPY TO SEE SOME SUN regardless.

Enjoy the pictures, feel free to comment and ask questions x
