Skin Repair Moisturiser Normal/Combination

Cleanse, Tone, Exfoliate and Moisturise
Hey guys its Jowie here with a skincare routine post. Skincare is all the rage these days in Blogsphere and there are all types of Cleansers, Face masks, Serums, Face oils, Toners etc out there so its hard to find good products for a non fussy face. Brands like Clarins, Ren, Sarah Chapman, Aesop, Origins, Hydraluron, Omorovicza (used by Bubu), Emma Hardy etc are all producing different ranges to suit all types of skincare needs. Even my beloved favorite Soap & Glory have released loads of skincare ranges and am eager to try their Fab Pore face mask. I usually use drugstore brands on my face as my skin problems are minimal and I get the occasional spot every now and then but its pretty much problem free. As part of my birthday gifts last month I received the much coveted and award winning Liz Earle products shown above and was extremely delighted to introduce them into my Skincare routine. It came beautifully wrapped and packaged such that I didn't want to open it straight away. As a woman approaching the big 'Three Zero' birthday next year I am looking more into keeping that youthful glow of my Twenties and not letting my lack of wrinkles fool me into thinking I can get away with not properly caring for my skin. The harsh cold weather too gives my face quite a pounding (rain, rain ,rain, typical UK weather) and these products give that extra boost to my skin.

The fact that Liz Earle products have natural ingredients and smell so fresh and amazing is an extra bonus. I start off by cleansing my face with my Bioderma micellaire water with a cotton wool pad and then proceed to use the Hot Cloth Cleanser with the pure muslin cloths, followed by the Gentle Exfoliator which I don't use everyday (twice a week is good for me). Then its followed also by the Tonic which smells so refreshing and then lastly the luxurious Skin Repair Moisturizer. For pamper nights I use my Superdrug Mud face mask to give me that extra glow and for days when I wear makeup (pretty rare because I find it annoying to take off) I use my Superdrug facial cleansing wipes to remove the first layers of makeup before properly cleansing my face.

My "pre-liz" face cleansers were Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub and Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash and Neutrogena visibly clear oil free moisturiser. I also used and still use Simple kind to skin replenishing moisuriser and Boots essentials moisturising cream in cucumber for all skin types. For me skincare has to be simple and I love using several products from the same line as i feel they work better together. I often hear bloggers raving about 'new products' and how they work but you can clearly see they have major breakouts and use tons of makeup to cover it up (or the famous bright lighting) but i suppose that its a battle of the brands and their effort to please PR companies. The main thing to consider as well is my diet so am constantly battling my chocolate addiction as we all know a healthy body often brings about a healthy glowing skin complexion. So I'm hoping by the time I go on vacation my face will be glowing with youthfulness and my body reasonably lost some love handles.xoxo

Happy Valentine's Day

Here's a Quick Photo post to Wish you all a Happy Valentines Day. Here are some photos of Monica at Cafe Rouge in Dulwich. This is more of the restaurant really than a style post. Its a lovely place to go if you especially If you do the whole romantic dinner date thing. The buildup to this day is filled with Companies bombarding you to treat your Loved ones with Chocolates, Flowers, Holidays, Gifts, etc This sometimes adds the pressure to impress but its a good reminder to treat your loved ones esp as it easy to get lost in everyday life and work. So whether you are a singleton or all loved Up. Celebrate All types of Love after-all as cheesy as it sounds Love makes the world go round. xoxo

Moments of Reflection

When opportunity knocks Open the Door

Hey Folks as January ends its time to reflect upon all the Targets or Resolutions that were set at the beginning of the year. 2014 already seems to be flying by very quickly and its easy to forget all those life enhancing promises made amid the euphoria of New Years Celebrations. Its important to take time out and reflect upon life and always aim to progress towards making Life count as we all know its about Life's Journey and not the destination that matters. Obstacles will always be there and there's no way to avoid them but we should always aim to make the best of what we have. The phrase YOLO comes to mind.
We took a walk around one of the Bird's house and passed by this Church shown here by Yoly again but this time during the day. We ended up taking these photos of Monica who was rocking her Natural hair and loving it.

"Say What?"

Bubu in Crystal palace at the stadium at night rocking a Vintage jacket with the American Apparel leggings which made a comeback last year with the coral and gold open toe Zara heels. She didn't wear a lot of accessories and a classic chanelesque gold strap bag. These leggings are pricey but last long and are so versatile and can be worn with pretty much anything.
